Tele-medicine allows health care professionals to evaluate, diagnose and treat patients at a distance using telecommunications technology. The approach has been through a striking evolution in the last decade and it is becoming an increasingly important part of the healthcare infrastructure. It is bridging the gap between people, physicians and health systems, enabling everyone to stay at home and communicate with physicians through virtual channels. Although telemedicine has its limitations it allows for a safer environment to determine the extent of your or your loved one’s health issues and establish a plan of action for proper diagnosis. In this pandemic-stricken world it’s better to be safe than sorry.
